Darren L. Schultz

darren-shultz_smallDarren L. Schultz graduated magna cum laude from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law in 2009, where he was a Dean’s Fellow, EJW Summer Public Interest Fellow, Senior Editor of the Law Review, and recipient of the 2009 CLEA Outstanding Clinical Student Award. As a Student Attorney in the law school’s Housing and HIV/AIDS Clinics, Mr. Schultz made several successful appearances before the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and D.C. Office of Administrative Hearings. He defeated slum landlords in trial on behalf of low-income tenants and successfully defended parents against contentious child neglect charges. Mr. Schultz volunteered with the Orleans Public Defenders and interned with the Neighborhood Legal Services Program and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law in Washington, D.C. He received a B.A. in Global Studies, Socioeconomics & Politics from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2005. Mr. Schultz also served as Sports Director of KCSB 91.9 FM in Santa Barbara, where he directed, produced, and wrote sports programming, including live play-by-play coverage of the NCAA Men’s & Women’s Basketball Tournaments. He is a proud graduate and former Student Body President of Santa Monica High School.
