Over $24 Million for Toxic Mold

The Gorman family sued 17 different builders and suppliers for the toxic mold that accumulated in their Manhattan Beach home. Shortly after moving in, Mr. Gorman experienced frequent colds, sinus infections, and other cold-like symptoms. Unfortunately, their young son’s immune system was overwhelmed and by 2 years of age the parent’s concern of developmental problems were diagnosed by a specialist. The Gormans left their home, but the mold had already done its damage to the young boy.

Brian Witzer and his legal team held one of the major defendants, a lumber yard company, responsible due to storing lumber in an area that was exposed to the elements. Once installed, the wood began to mold inside the home. The toxic spores from the mold circulated the house thereby causing a brain injury to the young boy.

With Brian Witzer as lead trial lawyer the case settled for a record $24,000,000.00.
