The auto accident case

Our firm handles auto accident cases, but typically we don’t get involved in an auto accident case unless a complex issue has arisen. Auto accidents sometimes appear to be routine. A rear-ender, for example, seems to be simple. Unfortunately, because of insurance policy language and limits, it's very important to have an experienced attorney in some of these seemingly clear, but potentially substantial, liability cases. The reason for that is an experienced lawyer, such as one at our firm, will actively seek to put out a demand as quickly as possible so that we can open the policy. That time period is a documented window of time that allows for them to settle and pay the limits. If the insurance company does not respond within that time period——a week, 10 days or, in some circumstances, as much as 30 days, then the policy is open. This is particularly important
