A Betrayal of Trust: Government Regulators

Unfortunately what we are finding is that the regulatory agencies are no longer the protector of our environment that one would have expected them to be. The reality is that many regulators and department heads are hand selected by the administration, who is really seeking to protect certain corporate interests, who then come into a well-meaning department and create different policy, which does not have the public’s best interests in mind. I believe the general public, which translates into “jurors”, is aware of this phenomenon.

Our natural resources are precious, and I think we have an obligation to protect the consumers from reckless out-of-control corporations who, with no regard for anything other than their bottom line, are emitting toxins into the environment at great cost to the American consumer.

We want to put corporations on notice that you cannot simply contaminate our waterways and get away with it.
