Standing up for the underdog

My decision to go to law school clearly arose from my desire to try to help people who have been wronged. Early on in my career, I recognized that one of the nice things about the law was that it gave me the opportunity to help people in a number of ways. When I started, I had 150 cases. These cases were $75,000 cases to $150,000 cases, and I had a very high volume. I predominantly represented individuals that didn't speak English, and we gave them the same quality representation that I give people now. I've always understood the legal profession as one that works hard on behalf of the underdog, and fights against whatever odds are set before us, to reach the proper result regardless of disparate resources. There's nothing more magnificent than putting on a case for a worthy human being who wouldn't otherwise be well represented and making their life different, and their family's life different.

Have you received medical attention?

Were there witnesses to your incident?

Do you have legal representation?
